Roadmap for Emotional Wellbeing
Often when we feel something’s not quite right we can be up at 2am looking for answers and these roadmaps have been designed with that in mind. Whether you are looking to master your emotions to become the best version of yourself, or you are trying to cope with emotional pain and suffering, these roadmaps are a foundational point you can come back to, to help you on your path to a greater emotional wellbeing. These roadmaps alone do not heal you, however they are an amazing foundation to have in your tool kit on your own “Heal Thy Self” journey.

There are 6 steps that we suggest that have been tried and tested and helped thousands of people begin to work through emotional trauma and learn how to feel and how to release blocked emotions that have been causing them pain.
Having a roadmap provides some much needed structure when you need it most. It simplifies things when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
Coming back to the roadmap time and time again will help you come back into balance.
We provide new mindset tools, selected videos from experts.
It’s not a course or a program per se, but something to give you structure and ideas about how to cope and where to find in person support.
This roadmap alone cannot heal you, but is a really important start in the right direction.
You may have heard some of the advice before, but the roadmap is your reminder to embody it, really put it into practice.
Let’s get you started right now…
Place your hands on the part of your body where you're feeling that uncomfortable emotion. Gently breathe into that feeling. Taking time to recognise to what you're body is trying to tell you.
Action Step:
Use the mantra “It’s ok to feel”
Repeat it often, perhaps even put it on your iphone screensaver.
When it comes to emotions, learning to feel them and connect with our body is the most important first step. Listen to this audio by Inna Segal as she guides you in how to truly connect with your feelings.
Rather than seeing feelings as something to push away, see them as messengers.
Each feeling contains wisdom and a message for you.
If I could allow myself the freedom to feel and explore, what is the wisdom or gift of my feelings? What is the message?
Action Step:
If you could allow your feeling to move you, how would this feeling want to move? Put on some music that you connect with and let your body express itself through the feelings and when a new impulse comes allow a new feeling to come or move into a new feeling…
What are the steps I can do to start to be more gentle kind and nurturing to myself...?
Take time and journal out a full list.
To expand you in a new direction we’ve provided a colour healing exercise below.
Action Step:
If I could imagine a colour that could bring softness into the part of my body where im explorng this emotion, what would it be?
Would it be yellow/warm/softening colour bringing a sense of comfort OR blue to bring a sense of calm...
Use the guided colour audio inside tribe to help you work with colour:
Emotional healing has so many aspects to it. Most of us have not been taught how to deal with our emotions, and still so much information is coming to light on this.
In our society there is a lot of focus on focusing on the positive, but we need to feel our emotions “the only way out is through”. There are so many ways to open up and let out emotions.
In our iHEAL channels we have curated the best information and wisdom on emotional healing
Often we are advised to share our feelings. But it’s really important you find people you feel safe to do so.
Often it can be helpful to talk to someone who is completely outside of the situation.
You may even need more time just to process it yourself before sharing.
And whilst talking to several people can be useful sometimes it can make you feel confused if they are all offering advice.
Action Step:
Is there anyone you feel safe with sharing your experience? Or if you are feeling you still need to process you may wish to use a journal to write down your feelings or draw/paint your feelings if you love colour...
Once you feel safe to share then find 1 person you'd like to share with and have them listen to you (not necessarily asking for advice). It may be someone you really resonate with in TRiBE since they are likely to be someone outside of the situation but good listener and a caring attitude.
Whilst emotional healing shouldn’t be ‘rushed’ per se and need time there are processes that can assist you in working through things faster.
You can work with a Heal Thy Self Coach or Search the Directory to find a health practitioner in your local area.
Anytime you feel lost and out of balance again, come back to this self care road map.
Life can get busy and we can start to get back into old habits without awareness.
Emotional health needs maintenance as new situations and triggers are a part of life.
When you follow your roadmap your more likely to stay on track as you know the steps you need to take to feel your way through things rather than bottling them up.
You are important and you deserve the best you can give yourself!!!
Action Step:
Which steps are you missing out on or invest more time into?
Especially remind yourself of step 2. YOU and only you have the power to change the course of your life and your wellbeing :)
