Pharmaceutical Drugs And Pharma Companies - The Truth Nobody Wants To Hear
Iatrogenocide is the leading cause of death in the U.S. Gary Null, Ph.D., PhD; Carolyn Dean MD, ND; Martin Feldman, MD; Debora Rasio, MD; and Dorothy Smith, PhD
IATROGENIC [Gk., iatros - physician; genein - to produce], caused by treatment or diagnostic procedures. An iatrogenic disorder is a condition caused by medical personnel or procedures or through exposure to the environment of a healthcare facility, including fears instilled in patients by remarks or questions of examining physicians.
Authorities said Monday it appeared actress Brittany Murphy died of natural causes after becoming ill with flu-like symptoms in the days before she collapsed in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home.
Celebrity Web site TMZ is reporting there were "large amounts of prescription medications" on the nightstand when paramedics arrived at her Hollywood home, and that Murphy was "complaining of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pain" in the week before she died.
"She always denied any relationship to drugs" US Weekly Entertainment Director Dena Sansing told CBS News. "She said she had never tried it. She said the strongest thing was Sudafed - it wasn't her thing."
But at least one leading pathologist tells "The Early Show" he'd bet a lethal combination of properly prescribed drugs was involved.
"It's possible, certainly" (that Murphy died of natural causes), Dr. Cyril Wecht told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Tuesday, "and usually, it will be some kind of a congenital heart condition. But in most of those cases, the patient will be aware that there is some heart problem.
"When you have a 32-year-old person dying suddenly, and especially a celebrity in Los Angeles, you can place your bet down that it's going to prove to be a case of acute combined drug toxicity. And I bet you that this young lady tragically died in the same way that Michael Jackson did, and Anna Nicole Smith, and her son, Daniel Smith, and Heath Ledger - a combination of drugs that had been prescribed for her, prescribed for her husband, for her mother, in some fictitious names, probably by doctors who are very, very quick to make available anything that celebrities want, sometimes using knowingly fictitious names.
"I am aware of some of the drugs that were found. One of them was a drug that was involved with Michael Jackson, Adivan. One of them was a drug that was involved with Anna Nicole Smith, Klonopin. Two of the drugs are pain relievers, Hydrocodone, which we frequently see in these cases, and Vicoprofen, a form of Vicodin. So, I guarantee you that, if the pathologists at the Los Angeles coroner's office had found something dramatic, like a heart attack, like a stroke, or like something of a definitive nature, you would have heard about it. The fact that they say that they're going to wait for toxicology tests and it will take a couple of months, you can be sure that this is going to prove to be a case of acute combined drug toxicity. A tragedy."
Officials also interviewed Murphy's personal physician and examined prescription drugs taken from her home. None of the medications were illegal, reports said.
Presley was discovered unresponsive on his bathroom floor while on tour. An autopsy found in his system "significant" levels of ethinamate, methaqualone, codeine and different barbiturates, including amobarbital, pentobarbital and phenobarbital. Presley's ex-wife wrote: "Presley was taking Placidyls to combat severe insomnia in ever-increasing doses and later took Dexedrine to counter the sleeping pills after effects."
Presley's personal physician, Dr. George C. Nichopoulos, concluded: "Elvis's problem was that he didn't see the wrong in it. He felt that by getting [pills] from a doctor, he wasn't the common everyday junkie ."
If you've been following the manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson's personal physician (not surprisingly, the Los Angeles Times has had the most complete coverage), today's guilty verdict wasn't a surprise. Prosecutors built a strong case that the 50-year-old "king of pop" died after Dr. Conrad Murray had given Jackson a large dose of propofol (pronounced PRO-poe-fall), a powerful anesthetic, to help him sleep and then left him unattended.
Murray's defense team spun a theory that Jackson gave himself the lethal dose. Either way, propofol was at the heart of the case. The Los Angeles County coroner had concluded that Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication" on June 25, 2009, and Murray's trial featured lots of testimony about the drug.
(CNN) - Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of prescription medications including painkillers, anti-anxiety drugs and sleeping pills, the New York City medical examiner's office said Wednesday.
"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," the office said in a short statement.
"We have concluded that the manner of death is accidental, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications." Hydrocodone and oxycodone are painkillers. Diazepam is an anti-anxiety drug commonly sold under the brand name Valium; alprazolam is also an anti-anxiety drug sold under such names as Xanax. Temazepam, sold under such names as Restoril and Euhypnos, is a sleeping agent. Doxylamine, an antihistamine, can be obtained over the counter as a sleep aid. Ledger died January 22 at an apartment in Lower Manhattan. The Oscar-nominated Australian actor, best known for his role as a stoic, closeted cowboy in the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain," was 28.
Police reported finding several prescription medications in the room but no illegal drugs.
CNN has learned the Drug Enforcement Administration has requested the toxicology and prescription records related to Ledger's death. The DEA requested the records Wednesday from the New York Police Department and the medical examiner's office after the release of the report detailing the cause of death, according to a law enforcement source who asked not to be identified by name or agency because the request concerns an active investigation. Deadly Combination.
Here are the drugs found in Heath Ledger's body:
Oxycodone - narcotic/painkiller; trade names: OxyContin, Percodan • Hydrocodone - narcotic/painkiller; trade name (combined with acetaminophen): Vicodin • Diazepam - anti-anxiety drug; trade name: Valium • Alprazolam - anti-anxiety drug; trade name: Xanax • Doxylamine - sleep medication; trade name: Unisom • Temazepam - sleep medication; trade name: Restoril
The combination of drugs could cause the brain and brainstem to "fall asleep," halting heart and lung function.
Sources: Dr. Gregory Davis, College of American Pathologists; Drugs.com The DEA confirmed it will look into anything suspicious concerning Ledger's death. "We will investigate any leads in respect to this," DEA spokesman Garrison Courtney said while declining to provide any specifics. "In any case, we look to see whether prescription drugs were illegally obtained or whether it was through proper channels."
Submitted by Rodman on Tue, 09/22/2009 - 18:09 She was more than a star, she was a seductive cocktail of glamour and damage. Could a single bottle of pills have erased her from the screen? On August 5th 1962 at 3:50 AM, a living legend was pronounced dead. Inside Marilyn Monroe's body was a massive overdose of sleeping pills. However there was nothing in her stomach that indicated that she had swallowed anything. Did this American Icon die by her own hand, and if so, was it suicide or an accidental overdose? If not, who killed her? In this story the scene was recreated in an effort to finally put to rest over 40 years of speculation. An actress takes part in a life and death experiment with a Doctor present to see how long it would have taken Marilyn to take all the pills she reportedly took. The number of pills she will take represents enough pharmaceuticals to kill several people.
There are 25 pills which are the same size, shape, and colour as the Nembutal pills and 5 pills which are the same size, shape, and colour as the Choral Hydrate pills Marilyn allegedly took that fateful night. It takes the actress one minute and five seconds to take the pills, so that part is at least possible. The official cause of death was a barbiturate poisoning due to an overdose. But besides the level of drugs found in her blood and liver and the pill bottles found at the scene, there was no clear evidence that Marilyn actually swallowed the pills. What drama played out in that Brentwood bedroom? John Miner, who was a witness to the autopsy, says Marilyn did not die by suicide or accidental overdose and contends that she was the victim of a homicide. Monroe's amorous relationship with both Bobby and John Kennedy have turned into a factor for a cottage industry of writers and documentary filmmakers alike.
(NaturalNews) It is extremely saddening to see the cost in human lives that modern society pays for its false belief in conventional medicine and the cancer industry in particular. Visionary Steve Jobs died today, just months after being treated for cancer with chemotherapy at the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, California. In recent months, he appeared in public photos as a frail shadow of his former self. The thin legs, sunken cheekbones and loss of body weight are all classic signs of total body toxicity observed in chemotherapy and radiotherapy patients.
Steve Jobs reportedly underwent both. His chemotherapy treatments at the Standard Cancer Center are now well known, and his secret radiotherapy treatments in Switzerland have now been made public by former Apple executive Jerry York.
Jerry York confided in Fortune Magazine about Steve Jobs' secret flight to Switzerland to receive radiotherapy treatment for his cancer (http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2011/01/18/steve-jobs-went-to-switzerland). Fortune Magazine kept this secret until Jerry York died in March of 2010 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_York_(businessman)), after which Fortune Magazine decided its confidentiality agreement with York no longer applied, and it published details about Jobs' secret visits to Switzerland (http://gawker.com/5737092/steve-jobss-cancer-secret-revealed-following-sources-death).
Fortune Magazine also repeats another fact about Steve Jobs that rarely appears in the press: Namely, that Steve Jobs underwent a secret liver transplant which raised eyebrows among many who wondered why a member of the wealthy business elite could receive a liver transplant essentially on demand while everybody else had to wait on a long transplant list (http://articles.cnn.com/2009-06-24/health/liver.transplant.priority.l...).
In January of this year, Roc4Life.com reported:
"Jobs' medical leave is due to cancer, but no one knows whether it stems from his 2004 battle with pancreatic cancer or complications from a secret liver transplant in 2009. According to recently deceased off-the-record source from Apple's Jerry York, Jobs took an unpublicized flight to Switzerland in 2009 to undergo unusual treatment at the University of Basel. Switzerland's University of Basel is known for their radiotherapy treatments for neuroendocrine cancer, relatively unavailable in the U.S. Experts say Jobs' pancreatic cancer has a history of reappearing and spreading to vital organs at a slow-growing pace, which probably explains the medical leave."
In other words, there is no question that Steve Jobs underwent multiple conventional cancer treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
In the end, however, even Steve Jobs could not overturn the laws of biochemistry. When you poison the human body, the result is the deterioration and eventual shutdown of the body. Chemotherapy does not work! This fact should now be obvious, and yet every year, more and more people choose chemotherapy to their own demise - people like Farrah Fawcett, Peter Jennings, Patrick Swayze, Michael Douglas and many others.
(NaturalNews) The number of famous people dying at the hands of conventional medical doctors is increasing at an alarming rate. Today comedian Bernie Mac (best known for appearing in Oceans Eleven and The Bernie Mac Show) died following hospitalization and treatment for pneumonia. At the young age of 50, Bernie Mac joins an increasing roster of other notable celebrities who have died while being treated with conventional pharmaceuticals or chemotherapy: Heath Ledger, Peter Jennings, Tim Russert and many more.
Pneumonia is the name given to a common infection that fails to be properly handled by the body's own immune system. Bernie Mac's immune system, it turns out, was suppressed by pharmaceuticals due to treatments for an autoimmune disorder he was previously diagnosed with, called sarcoidosis.
The most common treatments for sarcoidosis are dangerous steroids (like Prednisone) or immune system suppressing drugs like Methotrexate. Following his treatment with one or both of these pharmaceuticals, Bernie Mac was described as having his sarcoidosis go into "remission." That's conventional medicine's code word for masking symptoms with dangerous chemicals while ignoring the underlying cause of the disease.
"Sarcoidosis," meanwhile, is just a fancy-sounding name for an out-of-control autoimmune response caused by an imbalanced immune system which is disrupted by dietary imbalances and exposure to toxic chemicals through processed foods, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and other environmental sources (like pesticides or cleaning solvents). Bernie Mac didn't really have sarcoidosis; he was merely given that label by doctors who attached a fancy name to a pattern of symptoms that Bernie Mac expressed.
How doctors destroyed Bernie Mac's immune system RATHER than addressing the underlying causes of his autoimmune disorders, doctors pumped him up with more chemicals that suppressed his immune system. From there, Bernie Mac was a pneumonia case just waiting to happen, because at that point he was walking around with a suppressed immune system.
In my opinion, this is why Bernie Mac has now passed away: his doctors destroyed his immune system and called it "treatment" for a disease, practically guaranteeing that he would be vulnerable to infections. Meanwhile, doctors completely ignored the underlying lifestyle factors that Bernie should have been told were causing his symptoms in the first place.
Bernie Mac was a brilliant comedian. He was wildly entertaining in Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve and other movies in which he appeared.
He radiated a likeable charm and possessed a captivating wit both on and off the screen. Sadly, conventional medicine's dangerous medications have hastened his death and taken from us an uplifting artist who could have lived another 20 - 30 years if he had not had his life stolen from him by modern medicine.
Modern medicine takes another talented soul from our world.
Modern medical treatments are the leading cause of death in the western world, surpassing even the number of people killed by cancer. That's because most cancer deaths, of course, are actually "deaths by medicine." It is the chemotherapy that kills the patient before the cancer does! Individuals who put their faith in modern medicine are playing roulette with their lives, and many of them pay the ultimate price for that misplaced faith.
So what should Bernie Mac have done instead? It's simple: Visit a naturopath, get off all the chemicals and medications, eliminate all the junk from his diet (processed foods, etc.) and transition to a mostly plant-based diet, rich in superfoods and living foods. His lung condition would have disappeared and his immune system would have been strong enough to withstand common infections. (He also would have experienced increased energy and lost some excess body fat).
But doctors never told Bernie Mac this information. They never even gave him the option to be healthy. Doctors are predominantly in the business of causing the deaths of patients through a process of authoritative ignorance - keeping patients unaware of natural alternatives, and thereby forcing them to rely on toxic treatments that unfortunately harm more people than they help.
I truly believe that Bernie Mac would be alive right now if he had been given the option to pursue natural medicine (which BOOSTS immune function) rather than conventional medicine (with DESTROYS immune function).
Bernie Mac will be missed.
Prescription drugs constitute the major treatment modality of scientific medicine. With the discovery of the "germ theory" medical scientists convinced the public that infectious organisms were the cause of illness. Finding the "cure" for these infections proved much harder than anyone imagined. From the beginning, chemical drugs promised much more than they delivered. But far beyond not working, the drugs also caused incalculable side effects. The drugs themselves, even when properly prescribed, have side effects that can be fatal, as Lazarou's study(1) showed. But human error can make the situation even worse.
A survey of a 1992 national pharmacy database found a total of 429,827 medication errors from 1,081 hospitals. Medication errors occurred in 5.22% of patients admitted to these hospitals each year. The authors concluded that at least 90,895 patients annually were harmed by medication errors in the US as a whole.
A 2002 study shows that 20% of hospital medications for patients had dosage errors. Nearly 40% of these errors were considered potentially harmful to the patient. In a typical 300-patient hospital, the number of errors per day was 40.
Problems involving patients' medications were even higher the following year. The error rate intercepted by pharmacists in this study was 24%, making the potential minimum number of patients harmed by prescription drugs 417,908.
Recent Adverse Drug Reactions
More-recent studies on adverse drug reactions show that the figures from 1994, published in Lazarou's 1998 JAMA article, may be increasing. A 2003 study followed 400 patients after discharge from a tertiary care hospital setting (requiring highly specialized skills, technology, or support services). Seventy-six patients (19%) had adverse events. Adverse drug events were the most common, at 66% of all events. The next most common event was procedure-related injuries, at 17%.
In a New England Journal of Medicine study, an alarming one in four patients suffered observable side effects from the more than 3.34 billion prescription drugs filled in 2002. One of the doctors who produced the study was interviewed by Reuters and commented, "With these 10-minute appointments, it's hard for the doctor to get into whether the symptoms are bothering the patients."William Tierney, who editorialized on the New England Journal study, said"... given the increasing number of powerful drugs available to care for the aging population, the problem will only get worse." The drugs with the worst record of side effects were selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and calcium-channel blockers. Reuters also reported that prior research has suggested that nearly 5% of hospital admissions (over 1 million per year) are the result of drug side effects. But most of the cases are not documented as such. The study found that one of the reasons for this failure is that in nearly two-thirds of the cases, doctors could not diagnose drug side effects or the side effects persisted because the doctor failed to heed the warning signs.
